I am emailing to invite you to my big top surgery fundraiser variety show and party on the 9th October at Avalon Café in Bermondsey, London, UK from 6pm til midnight. There is a star studded line up, a raffle with great gay ass prizes, and I will even be gracing the stage myself, in my toolbelt/harness, as my drag king alter-ego Stanley Drillbits.
You can get tickets here:
Or on the door on the night. I would love to see you there- It’s going to be a great night.
If you can’t make it to the fundraiser but would still like to chuck me some money towards surgery then you can do so here at my gofundme. Anything is appreciated :)
Here’s a bit more info about who’ll be performing, access to the space and timings for those who can make it!
Our host is the gorgeous, beloved and iconic Mother Lori Mae, East London’s premier Showgirl/Cowgirl, she is the mother of The Maeson and a regular nuisance at Nikki’s Bar, Dalston Superstore and The Karaoke Hole. Lori Mae first “rose” to “fame” with her hit song “Douche”, an important PSA for the queer community. Since then, she has produced successful cabaret shows such as Dragú, the UK’s first All-Italian Queer Cabaret. She has also produced and hosted countless queer nightlife events, such as Testo Hunkie and Fussy, and has performed in at least 2 foreign countries. Lori Mae’s many talents include singing, looking gorgeous (from the left side), and exposing her bumcheeks (for fundraising purposes).
We are also joined by Beau Jangles, the vintage-style drag king-about-town who The Guardian has called ‘a compelling host’. Beau blends drag, comedy, live singing, and old-school charm and has performed across London (at venues including The Clapham Grand, The Southbank Centre, The Sam Wanamaker Theatre, Kew Gardens, The Barbican, and The Phoenix Theatre on the West End.
And Cherub Fitzgerland - a recent graduate of the Black Burlesque School, Cherub Fitzgerald brings her re-mix of Y2K throwback meets afro-futurist dreaming to the Tits Demolition Party. From cherry lip smacker to velour trackies, Cherub's burlesque act is an ode to all the things us 90s Black babes did before they were white-people-cool. Xoxo
As well as hole. hole brings you the hot thick taste of the fat utopia. This latex sexbomb is sure to squirt some passion into your night. Come prepared to pullout your poppers and get ur fists in the air; this hole is cumming at you hard.
And introducing Annalise as Queeny 🌟 she loves performing, drag, the arts and of course... stripping... She has performed in venues and took part in Burlesque competitions. Cabaret, especially stripping remains her one and ONLY true passion 🔥
We are also joined by Lou Lawson, an audio producer and performer who looks to the past to trace linages of trans resistance, and to find the answer to the ultimate trans masc question: how to look 30 when you are 30?
And finally, yours truly, performing as Stanley Drillbits- the 70s heartthrob handyman here to fix your broken hearts with a full set of tools and buns of steel. Turning softwoods into hardwoods, Stanley will screw, nail and strip his way into your heart …and your bed.
and there will be a DJ set from Watcha (dance against deportations)
There will also be the chance to exchange your boring pounds and pence for a new alternative currency, "Marf Money"- to "tip" the spectacular performers with. Get it whilst it's legal tender! (one night only!)
It promises to be an autumn night to remember…See you there!
