Standing Stone Butch Dispatch 02 - April

Hello!

A slow month on my SSB explorations – I’ve been working on a funding application to help me develop the work, and engage with some endangered crafts. If successful, I’ll hopefully get to learn some hands-on experience of hide tanning with oak bark, flint knapping and antler/bone crafts amongst a lot of other exciting things.

It’s also been a real month of artistic practice as a life practice, I spent some time lovingly crafting a fried egg chest and strap-on harness set for an easter party – a commitment to the bit of keeping things seasonal. It was also my birthday, and I hosted a Dyke Banquet at my friends flat, introducing a few reflective elements born out of my SSB project – in particular home-made fortune cookies containing prompts and affirmations cooked up from my own iphone note ramblings from the last few months of extreme sports personal growth/ mind renovation. Keep your eyes peeled for (hopefully) an evolution of this first dyke banquet into something that’s open to the public for attendance ;)
